Passing

On sunday, I grudgingly pulled myself away from WoW and went for a dinner celebration for Father's Day because I knew I would have no peace if I didn't go. But little did I expect to receive a shocking text message from my mother. "Uncle Harry's dead, to be cremated on tuesday. Please come for his funeral tomorrow."

Qing Ming Yesterday

It was Qing Ming yesterday, an annual day where families go visit their ancestral/relatives' tombs. So there were a bunch of relatives at my house yesterday. I usually don't do anything on this day, not that I can do anything because the house would be occupied and I won't be able to get any sleep, not from all the noise.

Chinese New Year & Me

Music: E-Type - Here I Go

Ever since I was twenty, Chinese New Year and I stopped becoming friends. Well, sort of. It gets worse when my family started having reunion dinner aka "extended version" which means having a dinner with some relatives (distant & close) that you would probably not recognise walking on the same street.

I still can't tell whose kids or which family side they belong too. Eating together is just a pain in the arse. First I have to show my face in a crowded restaurant and squeezed myself into a table of 11 which probably should sit only maximum 10 persons. And yeah, the food although tasty, is v small in portion. I went home still starving! During the entire dinner, I promptly plugged my ipod earphones into my ears and listened to it all night. Definitely beats listening to small talk and gossip or worst, the loud noisy CNY music. I just hate those.

Job Again

Music: Tor Hasebe - Excalibur

So I tendered my resignation two weeks ago and started serving my one-month notification period. I still feel very tired and my stress level has dropped quite a bit at work.

I've been feeling very burnt out recently, and rather distracted as well. First was my medical screening results that was not that good. I had to go through another couple of tests just to get some sort of confirmation. Luckily these tests results returned negative for any form of cancer. That's a major relief. On the down side, I now have to start another 15 months medication on Carbimozole because I have a relapse of my thyroid condition. It seems particularly pessistent in me, always surfacing after a year or two of being 'medically cured'.

Temper Temper Tsk Tsk

Music: Lindsay Lohan - Over

I've been very bad-tempered lately and it doesn't help that I'm quick-tempered as well. What a lovely personality combination!

Just yesterday, I was sick and took the day off work. Had to go see a doctor but my legs were so weak. I think I was staggering rather than walking. To make matters worst, I was really starving. I threw up all my breakfast and whatever remained soon came out the other way. You would have think I don't even have energy to get to the Doc's.

But I did, with the car and by the time I got back from the Doc's, I was really feeling v sick. But I wanted to eat. So I went into the kitchen and mom was clearing some stuff. She empted all the shelves and things were all over the floor. I had a hard time trying to walk through the kitchen without hurting my foot. I was really annoyed and when I found out, I didn't have any space left on the sink to prepare my food, I flew into a rage. Yup =) Very spoilt I know but I was really very angry then. In my mind, there was only one word - 'FOOD' and anything delaying my food was pissing me off. So I ended up threwing the aluminium foil upwards and it ended behind the refrigerator where its v hard to get it out again.
